• Grounded travel opens an engraved explorer atlas. Flights never paint a convenient line across places you did not actually experience.
• Walking, human-scale exploration and sustained local presence reveal the precise real ground beneath the chart.
• Regions, journal history and statistics turn where you have been into a private geographic archive.
• When accuracy or movement is uncertain, Atlas reveals nothing new. Truth matters more than a prettier map.

Privacy, in one breath

Location and motion are interpreted on your iPhone. The durable atlas stays in the app's protected local storage; there is no Atlas account and no app-owned location server. Apple Maps supplies map imagery and place search when those features are used. The full policy.
